At Friends In Need Food Bank we understand that everyone may face hard times at some point in their lives. Whether you're dealing with unexpected financial difficulties, a job loss, or simply finding it challenging to provide nutritious meals for yourself or your family, we're here to help.


Our mission is to ensure that no one in our community has to go hungry.

On this page you will find all the information you need to access our food assistance services. We've outlined the steps to get help and detailed the different locations and services that we operate.

Appointments are available Tuesdays and Wednesdays only; 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

To Register You Will Need To Provide:

  • A valid government ID - one piece with picture.
  • Proof of address in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows.
  • ID must be provided for every adult in the household wishing to register.
  • Information on how you receive your income, i.e. employment, social assistance, pension, disability benefits.



After Registration:

Column

  • You will be assigned a specific pickup day. You may only pick up on your day unless previous arrangements have been made.
  • You must bring picture ID EVERY TIME you pick up.

  • Please bring your own shopping bags.
  • Please do not line up on the property prior to 8:45 AM.

  • Clients must make a re-registration appointment every six months.
  • Your re-registration date is printed on your weekly ticket.

Seniors' Food Bank


 

Seniors (55+) have the option of picking up their hampers conveniently at the Maple Ridge Senior’s Activity Center.

 
Registrations and hamper pickups are on Mondays from 10:00 AM to noon by appointment only. Call External link opens in new tab or window604-380-0516 to register.



To Register You Will Need To Provide:

  • A valid government ID - one piece with picture.

We are proud to work with other organizations and agencies that have identified a need for food security in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We have grown to be a central hub for gathering and distributing food.
 
We do not just serve our registered clients. We work with any legitimate, non-profit organization that works with individuals who suffer from or are at risk of food insecurity in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
